How to get a room without stress

  1. Step 1

    Choose your campus

    We show rooms within walking or short trotro distance, not the whole city.

  2. Step 2

    Call or WhatsApp first

    Water, light, security, curfew, who you share with. Ask before you go, and write down what you are told.

  3. Step 3

    Book a viewing

    See the room yourself, or send a friend already on campus. Never pay for a room you have not seen.

  4. Step 4

    Pay the right person

    Pay the hostel manager or landlord, get a receipt with their name, and record it on your rental.

Hostel scams happen every reopening

Fake agents copy photos of real hostels and collect deposits from many students. Walk away if you see any of these signs, and report the listing so we can act.

More safety tips
  • Someone asks for "booking fees" by mobile money before you have seen the room.
  • The price is far below other hostels in the same area.
  • The person says they are abroad or out of town and will send the keys.
  • They push you to pay today because "many students are waiting".
