What we don’t accept
Every ad is checked by a person before it runs. We turn down ads with:
- Sexual, violent or hateful content, or anything illegal: drugs, weapons, gambling, fake documents, money doubling
- Promises of guaranteed returns, “risk-free” investments, or land “without documents”
- Claims that GhanaDeals, the Lands Commission or the government has checked or approved you, unless you can show it
- Property you don’t have the right to sell or let, or photos that aren’t of what you’re offering
- Ads made to look like a GhanaDeals listing, badge or message
- Prices, offers or phone numbers that differ from the page the ad links to, or links that go somewhere else
An ad doesn’t verify a business or a property, and doesn’t exempt anyone from our terms.
Questions
Who can advertise?
Any business that serves people buying, renting, building or moving: agencies and developers, banks and mortgage lenders, builders and suppliers, movers, lawyers, surveyors, furniture and appliance shops. You need a GhanaDeals account, and you can book as yourself or for an organisation you run.
How much does it cost?
Each place has a price per day, from GH₵ 80. The price is those daily prices added up, times the number of days, and campaigns run for 7 to 90 days. Choosing towns or the kind of search doesn’t change the price. You see the total before you pay, and promo codes are taken off at checkout.
How long does the review take?
Usually a few hours, and always within one working day. If we approve the ad after the first day you booked, we move the dates forward so you still get every day you paid for.
What happens if my ad isn’t approved?
We tell you the reason, refund the full amount to the mobile money wallet or card you paid with, and you can change the ad and send it again.
Can I change an ad after paying?
Not once it is in review or approved, so what runs is what we checked. You can pause it at any time and book a new one. Paused days aren’t added back or refunded.
How are views and clicks counted?
A view counts when at least half the ad has been on screen for a second, once per person every 30 minutes. A click counts when someone opens your link. Your report shows both for every day, with the click rate.
Will people know it’s an ad?
Yes. Every ad carries an “Ad” mark and your business name, and is never mixed up with listings, badges or our checks. That keeps visitors’ trust, which is what makes ads here worth seeing.
